We're named Aces' Galaxy after a character of mine, Aces. Please don't tell me the apostrophe is in the wrong place, because it isn't. Thanks.
Ra-Vich
The two lands (Vale and Rael) were originally combined.. the Gods, Tsart and Khalkest controlled half each, yet their anger would one day shake the place apart. The two could not agree; should the chosen be the vampires, or the dragons? Eventually, in their anger, they fought for the control of their favored species... and broke the very lands they wanted to protect.
Ra-Vist is now seperated by the Void... The world's endless gap into space; the atmosphere nevertheless stretches over this chasm and there are countless forded bridges, structures left over from when the two lands were still new. One of these is called Ra-Divide and provides a large island in the middle where the inhabitants of both worlds often mix.
Ra-Vale
The home of Tsart, there are few animals here, except those beasts that humans need to survive (cows, sheep, chickens, etc). Vampires are in control here, yet there are many other species who thrive, living the lives of humanoids.
The hatred for Ra-Raelians is strong, and so is the hatred for monarchy. While the Castle is said to be home to the King, in reality, the High Lord controls the lands. The last King was murdered by him, yet the people wholly prefer him, because murderous as he is, there is a rare kind of honor within him.
Humans are treated as little more than the cattle which they herd; they are mostly poor, excepting those rarities who have ascended to near Vampiric levels of richness. Occasionally one of these rich humans will become a vampire in later life to avoid death, or they will disappear unexpectedly, leaving behind all their worldly wealth. A few weeks later, a vampire may come into some unexpected golden windfall.
Ra-Rael
Ra-Rael is the home of Khalkest, the Dragon Goddess. Despite wolves, felines and many other creatures (unicorns, werewolves and demons included) roaming her lands, the Goddess shows favoritism toward her dragons. Thus, the lands are "ruled" by the largest drake, the current master being simply called Lord. He has many wives and his offspring populate the land, his advisors and courtiers also being very successful in passing on their genes.
The rest of the inhabitants split the place between themselves, in prides, herdlands and packs. Wolves are the most common, and anything with two legs (birds, werewolves, anything humanish) are looked down upon with scorn. The nearest thing to a human to survive here are Elves, and only survive if they keep their wits about them at all times.
Sometimes there are shapeshifting dragons born of the Clan, and they can take the shape of any creature, of air water or sky, with effort and education of course.
